The shuttle left me, what do I do?

Our chauffeurs wait 15 minutes after the scheduled pick up time and then leave and continue to their next destination. If a shuttle leaves you after the 15 minute wait time you can call 1-877-789-1947 and see when our next shuttle is leaving that location and make another reservation.

It is very important that you make it to your shuttle early or communicate with us and let us know how far you are. If we have no communication with the customer we will leave after waiting 15 minutes.

College Shuttle is a weekend service so when you miss your shuttle you can not catch another shuttle until the following week.

Why do you communicate by Text message

We only communicate with college students and parents of college students so having innovate ways to communicate is very important. research shows that 90% of college students prefer to use text message to communicate, so we did our research, listened to our customers and decided to use text messaging to send times, answer questions and sometimes even take reservations. Students can request for us to email of call them also.

can i cancel and/ or get a refund?

Once completed, College Shuttle reservations cannot be canceled or refunded. However while we will make every effort to operate College Shuttle services as scheduled, where this fails to occur full refunds or alternative travel arrangements will be offered.

How do i make a reservation?

Use the Book a Ride section of our website. Input your contact and travel information. You will then need to make a payment.

What if i Miss my scheduled departure?’

Much like the airline industry, all seats on College shuttle are sold on a reservation basis and you must travel at your specified time and date. Customers are required to be at their departure point at least 15 minutes before their selected trip is scheduled to depart. No refunds or credits will be given in instances where customers miss the shuttle; however, reservations can be changed by calling 1-877-789-1947 up until 72 hours prior to departure.

Will i get a confirmation for my reservation

After completing your payment, a confirmation page will display your College Shuttle reservation numbers. Please print this page as a record of your transaction. This information will also be emailed to the email address you supplied in case you don’t have access to a printer while making your reservations.

I booked a reservation is my seat guaranteed

All seats that have been booked and paid in advance either online or by phone are guaranteed as long as the passenger shows up on time at the bus.

Are your stops close to any Metro or subway stations?

Yes, we have stops at multiple metro stations. you can find our drop of location on our book a ride section.

Can i change a reservation

Yes – this can only be completed by phone more than 72 hours before the first trip you reserved is scheduled to depart. A US$7.00 fee (75¢ change fee and 75¢ new reservation fee) is charged for all reservations being changed. The cost of the initial reservation will be credited against the subsequent reservation.

What happens when my schedule is cancelled?

We’ll make every effort to operate our published schedules. Events will happen both within our control and beyond our control that may cause us to cancel schedules. A cancellation for any reason will allow you to request a refund or reschedule your trip at no charge to you. If the cancellation was our fault we reserve the right (at our discretion) to give you a free trip (or two!) and beg for your forgiveness. 

If you have provided us with a contact number (cell phone or other) we will contact you the moment we know the schedule is cancelled. If you choose not to provide us a cell phone just send us an email at Reservation@collegeshuttles.com ? and we will contact you to rebook your reservation.

what do i do if i have forgotten my email confirmation?

You must show a valid student Id, and our driver will contact a manager and do our best to find the students information.

How does your boarding process work?

Please arrive at the pickup point a minimum of 15 minutes before departure. If you have purchased online please bring your email confirmation. You’ll need to show your email confirmation to your driver as this will act as your boarding pass. In the top right hand corner of your email confirmation is a large letter. This letter designates which boarding group you are assigned too. We board by groups with our loyalty program members boarding first, followed by customers who purchased tickets online and lastly any walkup passengers. Feel free to sit in any open seat.

How far in advance can i make a reservation?

Reservations can be made for trips starting in the beginning of each semester. Due to operational constraints College Shuttle may choose to change this period.

Do i get a ticket to board the bus?

College Shuttle is totally ticketless and reservation can be made online or over the phone.

What do i give the driver?

You must provide the driver with a school id

Make sure you obtain a reservation confirmation for each trip you reserve. While not required, we do suggest you bring a printed copy of your payment confirmation page or reservation confirmation email. As these will include your reservation information.

Where do I get picked up?

We pick up students from their Dorms or Off campus Locations. ON some campuses we pick up from a central location on Campus.

how much are collegeshuttles.com fares?

Fares will vary by reservation date, day and time of travel and demand for seats

Any change to your reservation may result in a fare increase. In general, College Shuttle will offer its best prices to those who make reservations early. Please note that due to the high sales volumes on our website, prices may fluctuate between searches.

How do i pay for my trip?

All College Shuttle prices are shown in US$. Payment for reservations can be made using most major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

I had problems making my payment what should i do

Please check your email address for the Paypal confirmation email and Collegeshuttles.com reservation email. If you have received both of these then your transaction was successful. If however you do not receive either of these within an hour or so of your transaction, then please contact us

What will it cost to change a reservation?

Change to a reservation must be made 72 hours before the first departure.  A US$7.00 fee (75¢ change fee and 75¢ new reservation fee) is charged for all reservations being changed.

What is your luggage policy?

College Shuttle does not check luggage or provide receipts for luggage transported on the Shuttle by the passenger. Passengers are advised that College Shuttle will accept up to one piece of luggage per passenger. For guidance this should be no more than the size of a small duffel or Gym bag. Passengers can also take on board one small piece of luggage that must fit either on your lap or under the seat in front of you.  Please be advised that passengers wishing to travel with more luggage than one small duffel or Gym bag and one small piece of luggage that can fit on your lap or under the seat in front of you may have items refused, depending on the availability of space.

Whom should i contact to locate items that have been lost on the bus?

College Shuttle maintains a “Lost & Found” department to assist customers in locating items lost on the shuttle. All inquiries should be requested through the form on the Contact Us page on our website. College Shuttle is not responsible for any items that were lost by a passenger on our shuttles.

Does the collegeshuttle stop at a rest area

no stops are to be made at the driver’s discretion

Can i change any of my account details?

Yes, you can change the personal information we hold for you related to your name, address, etc. Simply log in and select personal information from the top menu bar. Make any necessary adjustments and then save your changes.

What if i forgot my password

You can create a new one by using the Forgot password link.
If that does not work for you we will reset it for you and send and email.

can i bring food?

Food and non-alcoholic beverages may be carried on board for personal consumption.

When does collegeshuttles.com operate?

College Shuttle weekend services operated on Fridays and Sundays. On occasion Thursday and Monday shuttles are offered.

Group shuttles, Nightlife, day trips are offered throughout the week.
the Destinations are determined by the requests.

Can you accommodate passengers with disabilities

Please call to explain the necessary needs of the customer to a college shuttle representative and after understanding we will let you know the best option.

Do collegeshuttes.com services take wheelchairs

If you normally use a wheelchair and are able to climb a few steps into the vehicle, we will store your foldable wheelchair and the driver will help you into your seat.
However, if you normally use a wheelchair and you need to remain in it for your trip on College Shuttle, please do NOT purchase your ticket on collegeshuttles.com, but call 877-789-1947 and explain to the customer service agent the date, time and destination of your travel plans. The agent will check that there is space on the trip you want. If there is room on the trip, then a bus with a wheelchair lift or ramp will be allocated to that trip. If the trip you want is full or unavailable in you area, the agent will suggest other options

If you normally use a wheelchair, scooter or similar assistive device and you need to remain in it for your trip on College Shuttle, it is very important that you make your reservation as early as possible, but no less than 72 hours before the date of intended travel. In the event that you fail to make a reservation more than 72 hours in advance, collegeshuttles.com will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your travel needs on one of its shuttles. However, College shuttle reserves the right to deny travel on a specific trip in the event that you cannot be safely accommodated within the requested time frame.

What amenities do your buses offer?

College Shuttle operates a variety of vehicles. Depending on the vehicles, we have DVD players and WIFI available. College shuttle will make a reasonable effort to provide Wi-FI services free of charge to evey passenger. If WIFI service is not available no refund will be issued

Registering an online account allows you to review future reservations and store details making repeat booking even faster. An online account means storing some of your details.

Do you operate during weekdays?

We have group shuttles available on weekdays – shuttles taking students home are only on weekends. Leaving Friday and returning Sunday. – Shuttles are sometimes offered on Thursdays and Mondays

Are there any rules?

Not many… we ask that you be respectful of your fellow passengers. Use headphones if you listen to music or watch a movie. We don’t allow disruptive behavior such as loud conversations, smoking on the van, music or fighting. The driver will warn the offending parties once and if needed the driver will escalate to the proper authorities. We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol, drugs, weapons and unruly behavior

What is the trip like?

Fast, hopefully fun… on shorter trips (less than three hours) the service will be non-stop from origin to destination. On a longer trip (over three hours) we will typically make a quick comfort stop. This stop will be at a location with vending machines and public bathrooms. The stop is quick — about 10 minutes — long enough to use the restroom or grab a quick snack. This gives our driver and passengers a chance to get some fresh air and stretch their legs.

what about our Fleet

The majority of our bus fleet is 15 passenger vans. We also operate 4 passenger sedans to keep costs low. our fleet is well maintained, We are very serious about safety.

What about your Chauffeurs

We employ professional, highly trained chauffeurs. We expect our chauffeurs carry themselves as professionals at all times and also be quick with a smile or a helping hand. chauffeurs are allowed to accept tips (for a job well done) they are not allowed to solicit tips.

Do you offer connecting service between collegeshuttles.com routes

Yes, Passengers are responsible for giving his/her self enough time to make a successful connection. college shuttle is not responsible if passengers do not make it on time

What is College Shuttle?

College Shuttle is a transportation company that transports students from campus to home every weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring break and the beginning and end of the school year.
In addition we provide Groups shuttles, Party shuttles, day trips and many more.

When i search my desired trip and it is not offered. what can i do?

This may happen for a couple of reasons. First check our Search and Buy facility to ensure the trip operates on the date you have chosen. If the trip appears but the calendar dates are grayed out, it may simply be sold out. Make your reservations early to avoid disappointment.

Does Collegeshuttles.com offer insurance?

College Shuttle has purchased Insurance in accordance with our legal responsibility. All legal liabilities to third parties, to include damage to property and personal injury are covered. Our maximum liability to you for any loss or damage to your luggage, on College Shuttle services under any and all circumstances is limited to $75 for all such loss or damage.

What does a Collegeshuttle look like?

College Shuttles are identified by their distinctive branding which is used throughout this site.

Please note, while College Shuttle uses a distinct branding and color for its shuttles, occasionally a subcontracted shuttle may be used and these shuttles will not have the same graphics and decals. In these instances the bus may have a sign in the windshield/dash area identifying the service, as College Shuttle and/or the driver will make an announcement identifying the service as College Shuttle If unsure please ask the driver.

How early should i show up at the bus stop?

We recommend passengers arrive at the stop at least 30 minutes prior to the schedule. We reserve the right to release the seat should the passenger not arrive 5 minutes prior to departure.

Do you assign seats on the bus

No, we operate on a first-come first-serve basis. If some seats are occupied, the driver may ask the seated customer to move to a different seat to make place for a disabled person. But, if that customer refuses, he/she cannot be forced to move.

What is the duration of the trip

Majority of our shuttles are  about three and a half hours, however there maybe times when the shuttle is longer due traffic

We are not liable for delays caused by accidents, breakdowns, road, weather, or other conditions beyond our control and do not guarantee to arrive at or depart from any point at a specific time.

Is smoking or alcoholic beverages allowed on the bus

We will not allow smoking or consuming alcoholic beverages on our buses and it will be strictly enforced in order to protect the safety of our passengers and drivers.

College shuttle Bus reserves the right to refuse any passenger under influence of alcohol or whose conduct is such or likely to be such as to make him or her objectionable to other passengers.

Food and snacks are allowed as long as it is not objectionable to the other passengers and the bus is kept clean. All trash should be put in the trash bags provided.
